Where do you work as a Physio and what type of clients do you treat on a normal day?
I currently work on the maternity ward at St John of God Murdoch. I help treat a lot of the new mums in the early postnatal days as well as pregnant mums who are in for monitoring. On the wards, I often assist with issues regarding bowel and bladder, nipple pain, mastitis and also deal with a lot of pelvic girdle pain, sciatic nerve pain, headache, back and neck pain. I also help run a few antenatal and postnatal hydrotherapy classes in the hospital.
Which FitRight classes do you currently teach?
I am not teaching regular classes at the moment.
What do you love most about being a FitRight Instructor?
I love being able to empower women to exercise whilst they are pregnant as often they feel like they are limited in their activities. Additionally, I love being able to see women come through the ward when they’ve had their baby and then help them return back to exercise postnatally! I love the fact that we are able to journey alongside them!
