What type of patients do you treat at FitRight HQ?
At FitRight HQ I offer musculoskeletal physiotherapy, clinical exercise and physiotherapy for women experiencing issues with breastfeeding.
I treat women at any age or stage of life and have passion for movement rehabilitation and promoting general health. I do not believe that there is a one size fits all approach. In particular I love reintroducing exercise and movement to women who have been inactive for a period of time due to injury or pregnancy. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my patients get back to doing the things they love and reaching their goals, as quickly as possible.
I also have a special interest in treating pelvic girdle pain in pregnancy and abdominal muscle separation after birth.
What days do you work at FitRight HQ?
I work at FitRight HQ on Tuesdays, Thursdays and every third Saturday.
What has your journey as a Physiotherapist looked like so far?
Since graduating from Curtin University in 2007 I have worked primarily in private physiotherapy clinics in Perth and Sydney, treating all types of musculoskeletal and sports injuries and teaching clinical pilates classes.
Over the last 6 years, since having children of my own, I developed a keen interest in treating women through the child bearing years. I begun working as a FitRight Instructor and as the FitRight Business Manager in 2017 and since then have taught pregnancy and postnatal FitRight classes at Fremantle, North Perth and Manning.
Excitingly in 2021, Taryn Watson and I opened the FitRight HQ Applecross clinic where we are co-owners.
What do you love most about working with FitRight?
My favourite thing about working with FitRight is to be able to offer treatment and exercise classes where women can feel safe and empowered to move and exercise during pregnancy, after child birth and beyond. I also love working with the FitRight team, who are a wonderful group of supportive, passionate and like minded women.
